(My company has a similar problem right now. not only hard, it is basically impossible. ![]() However, rewriting the entire infrastructure in which all of the instruments work is. It’s disappointing, and confounding, that the centerpiece of NI’s software world is such a poor product. Or maybe they just don’t care, as long as they are selling expansions and keyboards?Įvery comparable product (Analog Lab V, Omnisphere, Nektarine) has massively better organization, UI, and overall usability. The overall badness of KK is somewhat mitigated by the use of a Komplete Kontrol keyboard, which is the only reason I can possibly imagine that they wouldn’t update it. There’s no way to play sounds in Komplete Kontrol standalone without having a MIDI keyboard connected. You can’t search the factory library and the user library at the same time. There is no way to search more than one plugin without searching them all. When browsing, there’s no way to tell which product a preset is for without loading it completely. Text is blurry and the window shows up tiny on high-res screens. The UI has been the same since 2015(!) and still lacks bare-minimum UI features like a resizable window. ![]() But KK, NI’s flagship software and the central hub for all of their products, has languished for so long that I think I’m ready to move on. ![]() I just upgraded to Komplete 13 and I own an M32 keyboard, and I've used NI products since 2010. ![]()
